Bernar Venet (B. 1941) is a french abstract and conceptual artist mostly known for his metallic sculptures and his experimentations with materials such as coal, asphalt and tar. Friends with Arman, Jean Tinguely, Donald Judd and Sol LeWitt works on minimalistic and conceptual styles in the 1960's and 1970's. "I work and I make discoveries while keeping an open mind of what could be a new possibility in the context of my work"
